My name is Alexis Odjick and I am 25 years old. I am Algonquin Anishinabe and a registered band member in the
community of Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg in Quebec, Canada. I am the host of my new podcast “Indigenous Trail Blazer”, a podcast I founded where I advocate for representation of Indigenous people in all fields where they are underrepresented, including law, academia, politics, entertainment, medical fields, music, sports, and arts. I host trail blazers in each field that share their journey, struggles, and provide resources to help others succeed to create their own paths.
My goal is to see our people heal, connect, and thrive. The work I do concentrates on the importance of First Nations representation and encouraging our people to utilize their unique experiences, connections within their communities, and traditions to represent our people in their respective occupations.
